Easter Bunny train rides are leaving winter behind in the USA and Canada

Hop, hop, hop aboard! Easter Trains in the USA and Canada are ready for 2022. That means bunnies on board and at the station! But the scenic and heritage railroads that make special Easter runs offer more than just a ride and a rabbit. So expect Easter Egg hunts and other egg-stras like hands-on activities and live entertainment plus photo ops and sweets to eat!

Western

Western U.S. railways will be jumping with Easter surprises! In Colorado, the Vista Dome at Royal Gorge Route Railway is the perfect place to combine incredible sight-seeing with a special Easter lunch. For Easter dessert, cupcakes and lemonade will be served at California’s Skunk Train! Oregon’s Santiam Excursion Trains offers Easter arts and crafts activities aboard the Hippity Hop Express. Cottontail is joined by a magician aboard Utah’s Heber Valley Railroad — and there’s a petting zoo at the station.

Midwest

With Easter Eggs hidden at railroads across the Midwest, the search for the Golden Egg is on at Indiana’s Whitewater Valley Railroad while magical eggs are waiting to be found at Illinois’s Fox River Trolley Museum. In Ohio, there’ll be egg hunt prizes and rides for all aboard the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway‘s Easter Bunny Train! In Wisconsin, jelly beans, a scavenger hunt, and toy bunnies are on track at the Troy Electric Railroad Museum. And the Illinois Railway Museum will run a one-of-a-kind Bunny Trolley Hop!

Southern

This Easter, Bunny will be hopping from one North Carolina railroad to the next with stops to catch the Bunny Hopper Express at the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, Eggstravaganza rides and activities on the North Carolina Transportation Museum grounds, and a special Easter edition of the Tweetsie Railroad‘s famous Wild West Show! Elsewhere across the Southern U.S., you can ride the Hippity Hop Express on Arkansas’s A&M Railroad or make a day of it at the Oklahoma Railway Museum which adds a moon bounce and mini golf to its Easter line up.

New England

In New England, Motorwoman Cotton-Tail will join in the Easter antics at the Connecticut Trolley Museum. Eggspress trains are part of the celebrations at Maine’s WW&F Railway Museum. Brunch choices range from the first brunch of spring aboard the Cape Cod Central Railroad in Massachusetts. There are ducks to rescue at Connecticut’s Naugatuck Railroad There’s a Bunny Hop Train at Massachusetts’s Berkshire Scenic Railway.

Mid Atlantic

Betty Bunny returns to Pennsylvania’s Wanamaker, Kempton & Southern Railroad for a day with all her “peeps.” Brunch choices range from the Easter Bunny Express menu at Pennsylvania’s Colebrookdale Railroad and At Maryland’s Walkersville Southern Railroad and Pennsylvania’s Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad fun with the bun comes with a special easter gift for every girl and boy! Engineer Bunny and his Easter Express crew will welcome you aboard at New Jersey’s Whippany Railway Museum.

Canada

In Canada, Vancouver’s beloved Stanley Park Miniature Railway leads a fleet of Easter Trains across British Columbia. Easter Train Celebrations in B.C. include Bunny Train rides and Easter activities at the Kettle Valley Steam Railway and Bear Creek Park Train. In Ontario, kids can have fun helping Bunny retrieve his lost Easter Eggs at the Port Stanley Terminal Rail or ride the Easter Express at the South Simcoe Railway!

Ready to ride a rabbit rail? Then grab your camera and hop to it! Just remember to reserve your Easter Train ride well in advance – because space sells out quicker than Bunny can twitch a whisker! On “train day,” be sure to check weather and covid advisories. Most trains run rain or shine, but severe weather or covid-related mandates may force schedule adjustments.
