10 Best Tourist Trains in the USA

Verde Canyon Railroad, Clarkdale, Arizona

Billed as "Arizona's longest-running nature show, " the Verde Canyon Railroad in Clarkdale is celebrated for its annual eagle watch

Along the meandering course of the Verde River, rare vintage diesel locomotives haul trains past soaring red rock buttes. The canyon's Sycamore, Cottonwood, Prickly Pear and Mesquite provide a four-season habitat for bobcat, javalina, and antelope. The railroad is celebrated for its winter time Eagle Watch when nestling eaglets are frequently sighted.
