Most "Polar Express" train rides feature a storyteller reading the famous book aloud. Cocoa and cookies are almost always served. And kids are encouraged to wear pjs on most evening excursions.

Outdoor holiday light displays, Christmas carol sing-alongs, and reindeers and elves often add to the festivities. Many of the trips include the gift of a bell from Santa's sleigh -- just like in the book -- and Santa Claus himself makes a special appearance on every "Polar Express."
