Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - New Kapiri Mposhi, Zambia
International service operates weekly Express and Ordinary (local) roundtrips between Tanzania's largest city and Kapiri Mposhi (connect by Zambia Railways Limited or bus to Zambia's capital, Lusaka). Separate commuter services link Dar es Salaam with Mwakanga (connect with Udzungwa shuttle train to Kidatu). Travel notes: 1st, 2nd, Seater, and 3rd classes offered, berths and catered dinng cars are available; one-month advance reservations are advised.
Premium Zambezi trains and reduced-fare Kafue trains make twice-weekly long-distance connections between Livingstone and Kitwe. A weekly long-distance train operates between the capital, Harare and Bulawayo, the country's second largest city. Trains operate daily between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls.
